Honeywell Thermostat Control from Phone
To control your Honeywell thermostat from your phone, you'll need to download the Honeywell Total Connect Comfort app. This app will guide you through the basic setup of your thermostat and allow you to control your heating and cooling system settings, temperature, and various other thermostat features from your computer, smartphone, or tablet.
You can download the app from the App Store by searching for "Honeywell Total Comfort". Once installed, you can use it to check in and control your thermostat from anywhere, as well as receive alerts if something is wrong, such as an abnormally cool temperature in your home.
To connect your Honeywell thermostat to Wi-Fi, you'll need to follow a few steps. First, download the Total Connect Comfort app and verify that the words "Wi-Fi SETUP" are displayed across the thermostat's screen. If not, you'll need to manually put the thermostat into Wi-Fi setup mode by pressing the FAN and UP buttons at the same time and holding for about 5 seconds.

With your thermostat connected to Wi-Fi, you can control it from anywhere using the Honeywell Total Connect Comfort app. You can also set alerts to notify you if a room in your home gets too cold or too warm, or if the humidity changes too much.
Thermostat Installation and Setup
To install a Honeywell thermostat, you'll need to download the Honeywell Lyric App, which will guide you through the basic setup process. This app is available for both iOS and Android devices.
First, ensure that the thermostat is in Wi-Fi setup mode. If the words "Wi-Fi SETUP" are not displayed on the screen, you'll need to manually put the thermostat into Wi-Fi setup mode by pressing the FAN and UP buttons at the same time and holding for about 5 seconds.
To manually put the thermostat into Wi-Fi setup mode, press the NEXT button until the number on the left changes to 39, then use the UP or DOWN arrow to change the number on the screen to 0, and press the DONE button.
The next step is to view the list of available networks on your smartphone or other smart device. Search for a network called NewThermostat_123456 or something similar and connect to it.
Once you're connected to the thermostat's network, open your web browser and it should immediately direct you to the Wi-Fi setup page. If not, enter http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar.
To complete the setup process, search for your home's Wi-Fi network and tap it, even if your router has enhanced features that allow it to display guest networks. Then, tap CONNECT and enter your password if necessary.
The thermostat screen will display a waiting message during this process. Once the process is complete, your thermostat will be connected and you can now control it via the Honeywell Total Connect Comfort website or the mobile app.
